to push the knife on into the bladder. On feeling for the cause I felt a large st< ne quite blocking up the prostatic urethra. This stone was without difficulty extracted. It was one inch and a half long, one inch thick and 3 inches in circumference; at its thicker end a small facet existed. After its extraction, I passed my finger into the bladder, where I felt a second and large stone. This was extracted and was found to be two inches long, one inch thick and 3| inches incircumference: the two together weigh a few grain short of two ounces. The one in the prostatic urethra bears the marks of the knife. The hoy recovered without any bad symptoms, except a little diarrhoea. Case II.?A Hindu lad, aged 14, came on November 1st ?with the usual symptoms of stone ; on passing a sound a very large stone was diagnosed, and in operating a large external wound was made. There was no difficulty in the operation, and
